hits stores today in CD and double LP formats on Seventh Rule
Recordings.
Revolver Magazine has described Invisible City as "anarchic
noise-punk-grind-Southern-rock-core scary enough to have you seeking
out the succor of mom's teat."
Decibel Magazine has described Invisible City as "an impossible-to-pin-down mix of AmRep-referencing sludge, death metal, galloping instrumental movements and classic NYC noise rock."
Wetnurse hits the road this week for a US tour in support of Invisible City. Joining Wetnurse for most of the tour is Orlando, Florida's Khann (Metal Blade Records/Black Market Activities). "Invisible City" is Wetnurse's second full-length album, and its first
for Seventh Rule. Wetnurse's self-released, self-titled 2004
debut earned Vice Magazine's highest rating and a 9/10 review in
Decibel Magazine.

Seventh Rule Recordings proudly welcomes LIGHT YOURSELF ON FIRE to its expanding roster.
Representing Tampa, Florida, Light Yourself On Fire consists of four
veterans of Tampa's metal and hardcore scenes, hailing from such bands
as Reversal Of Man, Scrog, and Brutality.
Light Yourself On Fire describes the origin of its visceral, aggressive
sound as "hardcore kids growing up in the death metal capital and being
influenced by early 90's noise," naming Obituary, Swans, and Christian
Death as influences.
Seventh
Rule Recordings, a Chicago-based label with albums by Akimbo, Sweet
Cobra, Buried At Sea, and Indian under its belt, will release Light
Yourself On Fire's new effort, "Intimacy," in fall 2008. "Intimacy" was
recorded by Mark Nikolich (Torche, Kylesa) at Atomic Audio Recording in
Tampa, Florida, and mastered by Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer, Nile) at
Visceral Sound.
Light Yourself On Fire's debut full-length was released in 2007, on CD
by Kiss Of Death Records and on cassette by Robotic Empire.
The band will be touring throughout 2008.

Seventh Rule Recordings proudly announces the newest member of its family: WETNURSE.
From the heart of New York City, Wetnurse emerges with a signature
style that carries forth the spirit of some of the Big Apple's most
crucial heavy bands -- Bad Brains, Swans, Unsane, Quicksand, Brutal Truth...
Seventh Rule Recordings owner Scott Flaster describes Wetnurse:
"The urgency of early hardcore; the aggro, off-kilter noise of the
AmRep heyday; the raw, outcast power of early death metal; the melodic
transcendence of classic rock... All these influences exist within Wetnurse's music, yet theirs is something totally new and
progressive."
Since its inception, Wetnurse has played shows with bands ranging from
Isis to Cro-Mags, and has completed several tours of the US.
A self-released, self-titled 2004 debut earned Vice Magazine's highest
rating and a 9/10 review in Decibel Magazine. Lambgoat.com has praised
Wetnurse as "this era's Deadguy."
Seventh Rule will release Wetnurse's brand new full-length, "Invisible City," in fall 2008.
"Invisible City" was recorded and mixed by Martin Bisi (Sonic Youth,
Helmet) at B.C. Studios and mastered by Alan Douches (Mastodon,
Converge) at West West Side Music.
East Coast shows are booked throughout the spring and summer with Today Is The Day, Cable, Dead Child, Tombs, and more.

New releases!
INDIAN “THE SYCOPHANT” LP (your choice black or bloody sun vinyl)
It seems the pressing plant thought our original intention of a “Bloody Gold” vinyl scheme was physically impossible. Something about two translucent colors transforming into one, sorry we never claimed to be scientists. We went with the Bloody Sun color which perfectly matches the red fire in the cover art. The pressing breaks down to 200 Bloody Sun and the rest in solid black. Grab it while you still can.
The band recorded both SLIGHTS AND ABUSE and THE SYCOPHANT with Sanford Parker at Volume Studios in Chicago (Minsk, Yakuza, Pelican). Recordings were mastered by Colin Jordan at the Boiler Room in Chicago (Ministry, Rwake, Sweet Cobra) and the vinyl mastering and lacquer creation was then done by John Golden.
Mastermind tattoo genius Scott Fricke of Insight Studios in Chicago is the artist behind the amazing, one of a kind cover art. This piece of wax looks and sounds amazing! Collector’s item for sure, but we expect you to store it on your turntable and play it excessively like always.
THE MAKAI “THE END OF ALL YOU KNOW” LP
This is the super LTD release of The Makai's debut album on Seventh Rule. The pressing is limited to 320 copies, all on grey marbled vinyl with a double sided, silk-screened cover printed by Monolith Press. ALL copies are hand numbered, and sure to disappear quickly.
INDIAN “SLIGHTS AND ABUSE / THE SYCOPHANT” CD
We have received many an email, asking when this CD release will be available for order, and the time is now!
The street date is next Tuesday April 1st. While we can’t officially
sell it until then, if you pre-order it now, there is a good chance you
will have it on your doorstep by that date.
"Slights And Abuse / The Sycophant" compiles the two limited edition vinyl LPs on one CD.
Clocking in at over 55 minutes of music, "Slights And Abuse / The Sycophant" grabs listeners by the
throat and proceeds on a tour of victorious highs and bottomless lows
-- from anthemic, white-knuckle calls-to-arms to amp-worshipping pits
of icy doom. Vocals are demonic and venomous throughout, with lyrics
that spit ire at organized religion and celebrate the power of the self.
Vice magazine raves:
“… I LOVE this thing. I wish I could type
this review in the blood of my enemies to fully convey how awesome it
is... Without a doubt, Slights will be looked back on as one of 2008's
most repulsive and primal moments in underground music."
Decibel calls it:
“… so thudding and relentless it makes Black Sabbath sound like Beyoncé.”

The Makai's The End Of All You Know CD is now for sale in our online store. One month before the stores can sell the release, get it now!
The End of All You Know will officially be out July 31, 2007 on Seventh Rule Recordings. The album is 10 tracks of
futility in flames, of dread within desire, of some of the best metal
you may ever commit your ear to.
The End Of All You Know was recorded at The Black
Lodge in Chico, Ca and mastered by Collin Jordan (Ministry, RWAKE,
Minsk) at The Boiler Room in Chicago.
Forming roughly three years ago, The Makai immediately found an
audience within the booming punk rock and metal scene in Chico. Having
embarked on an American tour in the summer of 2006, which brought them
to two-thirds of the country, the band enjoyed opening slots for such
fabled metal groups as Dillinger Escape Plan, High on Fire and
Goatwhore. In early 2006, The Makai were awarded a Cammie when they
were voted Critic's Choice for Best Local Band by the Chico News &
Review, while guitarist Zeke Rogers was crowned Local Badass via his
unwavering support and dedication to Northern California music and
community. (Rogers is the founder of the local rock show database
Chicolist.com, as well as having been a member and founder of many
successful Northern California bands.)
The Makai are currently out on an epic six week summer tour, which started out
playing alongside Seventh Rule label-mates Indian, at this year's
Emissions from the Monolith Festival at Emo's in Austin, TX May 24-27.
